ECall is an intelligent emergency system for vehicles, which has been developed by the European Union. In the event of an accident, eCall rings the uniform European emergency number 112 and communicates the location data of the accident vehicle and further important information to the nearest emergency call point. Information concerning the types of vehicle involved in an accident together with concrete rescue information will be sent directly to the EMEREC data center via an interface. More...
