The northern Italian fire services in Arco, Trento and Madonna di Campiglio are well equipped for the winter, having put three new L32A aerial ladders into operation. Moreover, the aerial for the winter sports area of Madonna di Campiglio was specially designed to cope with snowy conditions. 

In addition, we can report on what was without doubt a most unusual journey by an RS 14, the generator having provided reliable service to a research team at an altitude of around 4,000m. There is also information regarding the new transport belt protection at the Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorfer paper mill and the special vehicle supplied to the Val d'Or fire service in Canada. This is a combined pumper ARFF with two AQUAMATIC extinguishing systems.
